12 Day Adventure Itinerary

Day One
Arrive in Entebbe and be met by AdventureX guide, then three hour scenic journey to Bujagali Falls Jinja. Check into accommodation and head off on a local village walk with chance to view a couple of the spectacular rapids the Nile has to offer. In the evening we have a B.B.Q and cold beers whilst watching the sun go down.
(Lunch and evening meal included)

Day Two
We deart in the morning, making a brief stop at Lugogo Mall before heading north through the famous Luweero Triangle and then on to Masindi – the gateway town for the National Park – where we stop for a relaxing lunch. From there we drive straight into the park, camping overnight in the chimpanzee forest.
(All meals included)

Day Three
We’ll be up with the sun and after breakfast head off for an optional guided trek through the Budongo Forest Reserve in search of man’s closest relative the chimpanzee. The sounds of the chimps carry through the forest very clearly, so approaching and watching these creatures in their natural habitat is a fantastic wildlife viewing experience. After lunch we’ll pack the vehicle and drive down towards the Paraa ferry, which we’ll take across the Nile to the North bank. Then we’ll game drive through the park, arriving at Delta Point, where we set up camp against the back-drop of the Blue Mountains of the Congo. Later we’ll arrange our chairs around the fire and tuck into a splendid meal, spending the rest of the evening telling stories and listening to the sounds of the wild - only a few metres away!
(All meals included)

Day Four
This morning we take a guided walk through the park with our armed rangers, hopefully getting close to some of the magnificent game that will be around during the early dawn. After breakfast, taken back at camp, we’ll pack up our equipment and again game drive through the park, back towards the ferry. At 2pm we head to the jetty for the boat trip on the placid Victoria Nile, which will carry you to the base of Murchison Falls. En-route you’ll see a variety of animals - hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck, elephants and birds – all drinking at the water’s edge. The boat stops about 50 metres from the base of the falls, allowing ample time to take some wonderful photos. From there we jump onto the bank and take a guided hike to the top of the falls, and into the bat cave! Our final night is spent camping next to this outrageously impressive volume of water.
(All meals included)

Day Five
Today we will leave Murchison behind and drive south, stopping en-route at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will have the option of walking through a national reserve…. getting up close and personal to the newly reintroduced White Rhino. Afterwards we make the return journey, arriving late afternoon, to Kampala and/or Jinja and the end of your Ku Tunza safari.
(Breakfast and lunch included)

Day Six
Mountain biking: Accompanied by a professional guide we will spend the day exploring the region around Jinja and seeing some of the stunning local scenery and wildlife.
(Breakfast and lunch included)

Days Seven
Free time to relax by the pool with a cool drink after the last five days of adventure.
(Breakfast included)

Days Eight
Horse back safari into the African Wilderness... We pass through local villages, areas of crops and jungle where you will see spectacular bird life, monkeys, and some of the more elusive of Uganda's animals. There is also the option to take your horse swimming in the Nile at a beautiful sandy bottomed bay.
(All meals included)

Days Nine
After overnighting at a riverside lodge we once again climb onto our steads and set off on the return journey. We trek an alternate route on the way back through Mabira forest, sugar and tea plantations and over some spectacular views on top of the mountains overlooking the Nile valley.
(Breakfast and lunch included)

Day Ten
Whitewater Rafting: A superb day on the White Nile River. Starting gently we allow people to get used to their new form of transport before tackling some of the river's biggest rapids.
(Breakfast and lunch included)

Optional Mountain Gorilla Safari
The perfect addition or extension to your African Adventure. Trekking through the forests of south west Uganda you will get the opportunity to see for yourself the incredible mountain gorillas who live in this beautiful part of the world. This trip also combines Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo National Park complete with walking safari.

Day One
We start on the first day at 8.30 when we leave the city of Kampala and/or Jinja to head southwest towards the gorilla forests. We pause at the Equator then pass through savannah grasslands covered in acacia trees, then into the foothills of the Virungas were there are vast banana plantations. Before stopping for the night next to the stunning Lake Bunyoni where we get chance to enjoy the sunset while looking out for otters and the many different types of bird life found in the area.
(All meals included)

Day Two
After a good breakfast we have chance to take a boat trip in order to discover the many islands around the lake. We will explore Kabale Town and have lunch at one of the quality local restaurants before continuing our drive into the hills towards the forests of the Mountain Gorillas. We spend the night just next to the National Park where the sounds of the forest can be heard very clearly.
(All meals included)

Day Three
We arise with the sun in order to eat a good breakfast, followed by a meeting with a ranger guide before setting off into the gorilla sanctuary. The rain forest landscape is steep and densely forested, but criss-crossed with animal trails allowing access to tourists. The trek to find the earth’s greatest primate can take up to a full day, but the thrill of discovering this gentle giant in it’s own habitat is rated as one of Africa’s best wildlife watching opportunities. By the time you return to the camp the memories will be embedded in your mind forever.
(All meals included)

Day Four
Today we will drive through twisted and winding roads, and lake dotted countryside, before emerging on to the lower thorn and savannah scrub lands of Lake Mburo National Park. Zebra, buffalo, Ugandan Kob and plenty of other species abound in this beautiful park, where we camp the night beside a lake - hippos are sure to come and graze around your tent or lodgings tonight.
(All meals included)

Day Five
Fancy a walk through wild, wild Africa? This morning we are going to take a walking safari, complete with a ranger, so we can get up close and personal on ground level to many of the beautiful and free animals of the park. Later today we will make our way back to Kampala and/or Jinja and the end of your Mountain Gorilla Safari.
